Accessing Lagrasse by car:

From Carcassonne

Exit Carcassonne town centre towards the Cité (fortress)

Stay on main road. Continue straight – Cité is passed on right side.

  Via Autoroute

  Continue a couple of kms, always straight on. Autoroute A61 is signposted.

  Take direction Narbonne, Montpellier, Barcelona.

  Exit at Lézignan-Corbières (Exit 25) See directions from Lézignan-Corbières.

  Via Country Back roads

  Ignore turning on to autoroute. Continue on.

  A few kms further Lagrasse is signposted to your right.

  Take the Lagrasse turning. A winding but well signposted and very scenic

  route that will take about half an hour to the village.

 

   On entering Lagrasse from Carcassonne back road route:

  Cross the bridge over the river.

  Turn sharp right (dog leg) at the war memorial

  Go through the car park towards the river.

  Turn left at the last left turning, ignoring the no entry sign.

  Go straight along the cobbled street to the old square (Place de la Halle)

  Maison Maynard is the first house with a pillar to your right as you enter the

  square.

From Montpellier

A9 autoroute south headed for Béziers, Narbonne.

Go past Béziers.

Passing Narbonne take turning from A9 t o A61 heading for Carcassonne,

Toulouse.

After 30km or so, Exit at Lézignan-Corbières (Exit 25). This is BEFORE

reaching Carcassonne.  See directions from Lézignan-Corbières.

From Toulouse

Take signs for A61, Carcassonne, Narbonne, Montpellier, Barcelona.

Stay on A61. Once past Carcassonne wat ch out for Lézignan-Corbières signs.

Exit at Lézignan-Corbières (Exit 25).   See directions from Lézignan-Corbières.

From Barcelona Airport

Take signs for Barcelona Ciudad (City) heading north.

Avoid city centre by following directions for Gerona, AP 7, Franca or all three.

Stay on AP 7. Go past Girona. Cross Spain/France border.

AP 7 (Spain) becomes A9 (France).

Go past Perpignan.

On approach t o Narbonne turn on to A61 towards Toulouse and Carcassonne.

After 30km or so, Exit at Lézignan-Corbières (Exit 25). This is BEFORE

reaching Carcassonne.   See directions from Lézignan-Corbières.

From Lézignan-Corbières (Exit 25)

Lagrasse is signposted from first roundabout after the Péage (toll).

Through Fabrezan – Lagrasse is second right . The road is very narrow here for about 100 metres.

Straight through Ribaute.

Lagrasse is a few kms further on.

On entering Lagrasse from Lézignan-Corbières /Auto Route:

Turn right at the T junction. Shops will then be on your left.

Veer left at the war memorial.
